SPAM is seeking 60 participants from any part of the world to join a workshop on the themes of the urban regeneration which will take place in Rome, at the Casa dell’Architettura from 11th to 18th October 2019 on the occasion of the first Settimana del Progetto di Architettura nel Mondo (SPAM), a new annual fall Architecture festival held in Rome.
The workshop will be divided into three Labs, each of them directed by a major international artist. Manuel Aires Mateus, Orazio Carpenzano and Gianluca Peluffo will be the three architects in charge for the Labs.
To identify and exchange good practices and inspiring examples on the urban regeneration about areas choosen in the center of Rome together with Rome 1 district (primo Municipio)
7 days of meetings, work and field visits to relevant project sites. Participants will have free
access to the whole program of SPAM 2019.
The participation fees are as follows:
• Students: € 120
• Architects and professionals from other disciplines: € 160
FORMATIVE AND UNIVERSITY CREDITS
A certificate of attendance will be released to the participants;
Professional and/or academic credits will be assigned (20 professional credits, 4 academic credits).
MANDATORY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be attending a degree course in architecture or equivalent organization or an academic institute whose work is related to architecture and/or urban commons.
The organization can be based anywhere. Foreign applicants are welcome.
Applicants should have significant experience. We recommend students from fourth year onwards, PhD students, and/or young professionals. Groups will be formed by people from mixed discipline experiences. Architecture, landscape, city planning, sociology, art, are preferred.
